Porcelain Veneers

Dental veneers, which are often referred to as porcelain veneers or porcelain laminates are thin overlays made of tooth-colored material, which are designed to cover the front surface of your tooth to help improve the appearance of discolored, mis-shapen and/or broken teeth. These overlays are adhered using a strong bonding material to the front of the teeth and can be used to change a tooth's shape, color, shape and/or size.

Dental veneers can also be made from resin composite materials, which are thinner but don't resist stain as well as porcelain veneers.  Porcelain veneers also have an appearance most similar to natural teeth. We can discuss with you various options for these materials.

Common reasons for considering Porcelain Veneers are for correcting:

  • Discolored teeth
  • Chipped/broken teeth
  • Crooked, uneven or mis-shapen teeth
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Teeth that are worn down (often due to grinding)
